An admission essay is one of the essential parts of every student's college or university application. The admissions committee reviews all essays in detail and concludes on their basis whether the student is worth studying at their higher educational establishment.

Writing honestly, interestingly, and engagingly will significantly increase the student's chances of admission, while poor writing will limit the options. A student can write it him/herself, ask someone to write it, or turn to an admission essay writing service. Unlike other parts of the application for admission, where grades and test scores are important, the essay should impress not with its achievements but with its authenticity.

Many young people and parents do not believe that it is essential for the admissions committee to see the applicant as a person. But it is! The essay should reveal the student's hobbies, dreams, strange talents, favorite food, the worst playlists, and unexplained love. And contrary to popular belief, this is not about unattainable heights or plans to save the world. It's simple: the admission essay will be successful if the student can convince the readers that he/she will be a great roommate for a student of the same college. A tiny but concrete detail will be more vivid than a long-suffering essay on community service that will be forgotten in 10 minutes. The admission essay must tell the truth that students want colleges to know about them, which cannot be seen through grades and standardized tests.

So, the good news is that the admission essay is the most transparent part of the application. The bad news is that when a parent or someone else tries to drown out the student's voice in this work, the writing becomes terrible. And the far more dangerous consequence is that the student realizes that it can be unethical and plagiarized when the stakes are high enough. In addition, the admissions examiner sees the following: parents or other adults are trying to improve the essay to prove to the admissions officer that the student is ready to take responsibility for him/herself in college. But at the same time, the very fact of interference in his work suggests that adults are not sure about the latter.
