I am not sure what I would like to do with my life after I graduate, but I do know that I would love to be helping people and making a difference. In order to do that I will have to graduate with my degree and get in as much experience as possible. I have completed a public relations internship and will be doing another internship at a company called Doner involving internal communication and event planing this summer. I am really looking forward to what this opportunities this experience brings! 

I am involved in two on campus organizations through SVSU that will help me reach my career goal. I am the Public Relations manager for the RSO, Love Your Melon. Love Your Melon is an organization run by college students across the country on a mission to end pediatric cancer. As the PR manager I am in charge of things like running the social media platforms, planning events, collaborating with other RSO's in order to plan mutually beneficial events and table sits. The other group I am involved in here on campus is called Alternative Breaks. Alternative Breaks is an organization that revolves around volunteering. Rather than going home for school breaks, we go around the country to volunteer.

In terms of meeting my career goal and where I am today I would say I am in pretty good shape. I have one year left here at SVSU and I have really good experience under my belt. I feel like I have taken some key courses during my education experience that will take me far. I view many of my communication classes as extremely important and necessary to go far in my career. Classes such as public relations, family communication, business communication, and small group communication have all taught me very important things that I would not know if it weren't for these classes. To answer the question of "where am I today", I am an eager student who is willing to focus on my studies in order to take my passions far and achieve my goals.
